A Sight to See

The Pacific Northwest is an extremely beautiful sight from the cascading mountain ranges to the beautiful bodies of water. I have lived in the Pacific Northwest for six years and every-time I see these views, it still feels like seeing them for the first time. One of the main attractions of the Pacific Northwest is Mount Saint Helens, which erupted 39 years ago in May of 1980. My mother was actually in one of the neighboring cities when it erupted and she still has some of the ashes from the event. Climbing these mountains is even more amazing because when you get to the top everything changes; you can see a multitude of mountain ranges and the lovely forest we have in the Pacific Northwest. There are other mountains besides Mount Saint Helens, that one to me is just super interesting. Mount Rainer is also another popular mountain here in the Pacific Northwest. This summer I am actually hiking to one of the base camps ( more on that to come) even if you do not hike Mount Rainer, it is still a beautiful sight to see. The one thing people travel to the Pacific Northwest for specifically, is the Cascades. It is one of the most amazing sights in Washington ( in my complete and total opinion). The Cascades take anyones breath away; they still take mine away and like I stated before I have lived in Washington for the last six years. Washington has many more mountains and mountain ranges but those are the main ones that I know a lot of people like to hike and also just take in the view of the mountains as well.I am sure there are other places in Washington that are just as beautiful but I have yet to find those places. All in all, Washington and the Pacific Northwest in general are both beautiful places that everybody.
